REF! Answers the question: How can we improve the fans' experience with NBA referees? A thesis on how social media guides NBA viewers perception of the game, and combining data visualizations for more information.

The NBA is a stats game, everyone who watches the NBA is a fanatic of one or more stat of a player, coach or franchise. Though, the only other information not given as commonly are the referees & they’re the first to blame when problems arise.

Utilizing Instagram and data visualizations to present referees in a more exciting and accessible way changes the perception of referees to enjoyers of the NBA. Instagram showcases referees with their names, images, and occasional funny videos, making them more relatable. Data visualizations present large amounts of information in a visually appealing manner, enhancing fans' comprehension.

In conclusion, my thesis presentation was a sucess. I had meaningful conversations with basketball fans about the game and how referees to change outcomes, about how this could be approached for sports betting and critiques on the data visualizations.
